#1 - Serguei Zlenko

Location: Helsinki, Finland

Artist type: Traditional Artist

Art specialties: Portraits (people)

Whether exercising his extraordinary prowess for unusually stirring portraiture, defining the uniquely elegant flavors of ballet, providing the viewer a sense of presence in his chosen landscape or capturing fanciful whims of human imagination with charm and warmth, Serguei Zlenko characteristically delivers scenes of striking depth and passion. The delicate grace of his tunings of detail, the bold fervor of movement apparent in the strokes with which he enunciates the spirit of an implied motional nature in figures at rest and a fierce regard for the attributes and demands of light define the signature traits of style in Zlenko''s paintings. If you would desire to find artistic terrain which weds the respective dispositions of classical and contemporary approach, you will be well served by examination of this work. Zlenko furnishes a cross section of his most familiar focuses of subjects, rendered, as always, with irreproachable commitment, dignity and flair.

#2 - Erika Kauffman

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Artist type: Traditional Artist

Art specialties: Pet Portraits

As an artist I'm primarily self-taught. I had one oil portrait painting class in art school — everything else was focused on graphic design for print. After 20 years freelancing graphic design and web design, I moved away from the keyboard and returned to my first love — fine art. I spent a few years oil painting, was accepted into the International Guild of Realism in 2017, and have had my work included in several of their juried exhibitions. I discovered the joys of colored pencil in early 2019. Combining my new favorite medium with my love of realism and even greater love of dogs has been amazing. I absolutely adore my subjects and revel in the challenges and rewards of capturing their sweet souls. In the immortal words of Peanuts creator Charles Schulz, "Happiness is a warm puppy." I couldn't possibly agree more. I work is not limited to dogs. I'm happy to accept commissions for cats, horses, rabbits, and all other furry friends.

#3 - Mariah Kaminsky

Working primarily in oil on canvas, Mariah’s current subject matter focuses on portraits of children and beloved furry friends. With each new work she pushes the boundary between classical and contemporary styles.

#6 - Cynthia Ligeros

Location: Englewood, Colorado

Artist type: Traditional Artist

Art specialties: Abstract

“For me, abstract art can have a powerful organic and spiritual presence.” Cynthia Ligeros is inspired by the vibrant, ever-changing urban landscapes surrounding us, contrasted against the unique and pristine beauty of the natural world. She approaches each painting with a single driving emotion. In the beginning, she creates an under-painting that allows the discovery of naturally organic forms on the canvas. Through an artistic dialogue with the painting, she composes and unifies the organic forms, until a completed abstract painting develops, inspired by the cycles, emotions, and equilibrium of our ever-changing environment. This layering technique mirrors the larger theme of her work: the hard edges of our structured world contrasted against the organic contours of the natural world. On a metaphorical level, the art of Cynthia Ligeros explores the idea of the deeper subconscious self unifying with the higher self, to make us whole.

#7 - Vivian Lu

#8 - Susan Holloway

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia

Artist type: Traditional Artist

Art specialties: Portrait, Pets

Hello! My name is Susan Holloway and I’ve always enjoyed drawing or painting anything with a face or otherwise since I was a child. I have been painting commissioned portraits for 20 years. I attended art school at the University of Georgia. I began painting portraits of my own children and then my business bloomed via word of mouth and customer recommendations. I try to capture the light and the personality of each of my subjects in oil or acrylic. I am very particular and spend a great deal of time getting every detail rendered exactly in a dynamic and interesting composition. The pandemic has allowed me to expand my studio and to take stock of how I spend my time. I am happiest when I am painting. While I am thrilled when my work is sold at a traditional exhibit or show, I am very excited to begin a new path of painting for online patrons! I have been enamored by platforms such as this one as they afford new connections for communities of artists and patrons alike.

#10 - Mykola Koidan

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine

Artist type: Traditional Artist

I perceive painting as a craft that is very far from impulsive paint splattering. I am the kind of person that prefers to thoroughly research, study, and meticulously implement everything, including paint splattering. What to expect after placing the order: - I'll clarify all the details and let you know when I'm ready to start and how many days it is likely to take (usually up to one week for small and medium paintings). - You'll receive a halfway progress photo. - I'll be recording the whole process to provide you with a time-lapse video. - You’ll have the opportunity to request revisions. - I'll ship the canvas pre-stretched to hang it on the wall right away. Standard shipping option: usually, up to 2 weeks (from Ukraine to the USA), the shipping costs around $50-$150 depending on the painting's size. Expedient shipping with DHL: a few days, the shipping costs ~ $300 for a pre-stretched medium-sized painting. Looking forward to receiving your order.

#11 - Cindy Coleman

Location: Durango, Colorado

Artist type: Traditional Artist

Art specialties: Landscape

Artist Cindy Coleman has lived in Durango since 2006. An illustration graduate of Ringling College of Art & Design, Cindy has worked in various media, including acrylics, oils, colored pencils, watercolors, and now – soft pastels. She took an art hiatus after a bout with lyme disease in 2016, and after a few years (and a return of energy) she decided to play around in pastels. Cindy won a scholarship in the fall of 2020 for an artist residency at Willowtail Springs Nature Preserve & Education Center, where she painted 20 paintings in one week – the most paintings that she’d done in years. Her residency sparked a flurry of creativity and she hasn’t stopped painting since. Cindy’s landscapes are of places she’s been in the Four Corners region, camping, hiking, and even photographs she’s taken out of the car window. She’s infatuated with clouds (in case you hadn’t guessed!) She's recently started painting the National Parks that she's visited.

#12 - Emily Tjomsland

Location: Windsor, Missouri

Artist type: Traditional Artist

Art specialties: Portrait, Pets, Landscape, Home Portrait, Still-Life, Floral, & Objects

Hi there friends, I’m a classically trained artist that incorporates digital mediums into my art. I have a BFA degree from the University of Utah, but most of my education comes from my enjoyment of analysis. I love analyzing the faces and materials in my environment. I enjoy employing and have practice with many mediums and forms of art, but my greatest art passion lies with my drawing. This is why I love using a stylus, it allows me to “draw with paint.” I use a Wacom tablet and stylus and my art program of choice is Corel Painter. I believe that I can give you a 100% guarantee that you will love what I can do for you. My goal is forever and always to tell a story by bringing out the beauty and light I perceive within the people I draw and paint. I’m always humbled and honored to be a part of someone’s journey. I’d love to be a part of yours.

#13 - Desi-Rae Arts

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire

Artist type: Traditional Artist

Art specialties: Portrait, Landscape, Abstract

I am primarily a self-taught artist, born and raised on the island of Jamaica, where I attended Campion College, mainly studying the sciences and discovering art in my spare time. I completed studies in Biology, Art, and Business at Bard College in the Hudson Valley, NY and at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. You can find my other projects using the Follow tab in the main navigation menu or scrolling below. I hope my art is inspiring, entertaining, or thought-provoking in some way. There are often available prints and original abstract and figurative oil paintings. You can also commission me for custom paintings, portraits, and made-to-order large wall art. Feel free to connect with me on social media! I love art in all its forms. I think we live in a universe filled with awe-inspiring creations and I have always felt compelled to be a part of this process. I am primarily a self-taught artist, having spent my time after school in the art room growing up, visiting art shows with friends in my teenage years, and honing my skills in my spare time for as long as I can remember. My first love is portraiture. My second is abstraction. And so I am in love with them both. My paintings are a way into my mind’s eye for my own perusal and for that of others. Selling my art is a way of sharing my art with others, to help brighten a person, to add mood and expression to a place, to increase the aesthetic sensitivity of an environment. My goal is for my art to provide a quality visual experience and evoke the deeper feelings art can create. I hope my paintings are a wonderful complement to your space and help fulfill your heart. I also wish to honour my Creator in all I do, and I choose to share my creativity because it has been given to me for that purpose. ‘Every good and perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights...' (James 1:17, KJV). 'There are different kinds of working, but in all of them, and in everyone, it is the same God at work' (1 Corinthians 12:6, ESV). I care, so Desi-Rae Arts cares - about you, what you’re looking for from the art, how the art is made, how materials are sourced, the environment, who makes the material, how they are treated, the quality of the product, and my being present in the making of the art. This means not rushing the process and taking steps to use the most ethical products available in the fine art industry as our planet moves towards making better decisions, as well as finding feasible solutions for unsolved problems as much as I can.  Thank you for your interest in my work!

#15 - Brad Peters

Location: Miami, Oklahoma

Artist type: Traditional Artist

Art specialties: Pets, Landscape, Still-life

I was born and raised in Miami, Oklahoma. It’s a small town in the Midwest and like most other kids I wasn’t interested in art growing up. I wasn’t someone who doodled in the notebooks or colored in their spare time. I didn’t know Rembrandt was anything other than a toothpaste. This continued from my childhood all the way into my thirties. Sure, I took art class in high school, but I was a poor student in every class. Art never had a chance with me. I wish it had. It wasn’t until my partner suggest painting one night as a date night activity that something within me sparked. And it has roared since. Something about painting that tree. I absorbed art after that. I quickly became obsessed, like so many others, with the impressionists. I feel in love with the way they drew emotion out of the simple everyday scenes of life. Even staring at a simple fruit, they painted you can feel what you imagine they felt when they painted it. That was what I wanted. It's what I still want and chase today. I paint still life, portraits, and landscapes in the impressionist style and try to evoke the emotions out of the ordinary every day.

#16 - Qi Debrah

Location: New York, New York

Artist type: Traditional Artist

Art specialties: Portrait, Pets

My name is Qi Debrah, I am a Portrait Artist, Fine Artist, and Children's Book Illustrator. I have been doing art for over the past 30 years. I grew up in an artistic family and learned art since I was 7. I went to professional art schools in my youth. Now, I have been living in the U.S for 25 years. I had studied Illustration major in New York. I am also teaching Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology which I was graduated from. Now, my main focus is Portrait painting on people and pets. Andrew Wyeth and JW Waterhouse are the two influencers of my personal style. I am trying to communicate with my viewers through poetic and emotional messages from each of my paintings and capture the souls in emotion. I often use wood panels or canvas for my oil paintings. I also do watercolor on paper as well. I love to create art, it is so natural to me as breathing air, without it, I will be meaningless and suffocate, especially empty inside.

#17 - Ritina Ansurkar

Location: Johnson City, Tennessee

Artist type: Traditional Artist

Art specialties: Portrait, Pets, Landscape, Home Portrait

I am a visual artist who specializes in landscapes. I basically use acrylics, but to get certain effects I may add oils to the artwork too. My artwork is usually vibrant and eye catching as I like creating sharp photorealistic images. I am versatile too, as I like creating artwork of diverse subject matters too (Like figurative art, portraits, pet portraits, home portraits, cityscapes and seascapes) apart from landscapes. I also paint Profile photographs from Face book Instagram and other social media platforms. Since I am a self-taught artist, I enjoy taking up challenging subjects that push me to accomplish a level of perfection, that reaches a new height every single time I put brush to canvas. For me, the inclination towards painting and art has been a natural transition. Being the daughter of an Architect, who was an extraordinary artist himself, means that I was exposed to, structure and expression of art from a very young age. Painting has been with me always in some form or the other, from hobby and passion to business. Basically, I grew up in India, but since January of 2018, me and my husband relocated to the US. We are currently staying in Johnson City Tennessee. I have been creating artwork for the past four years. I was recently awarded the Finalist Award for the Artvita Art Contest. I love painting landscapes because after relocating to the US I found so many beautiful places on our various hikes to photograph and paint. The artwork I create is mostly from the photographs that me and my husband take on our hikes and vacations to different places all over the world. My chief objective in creating these artworks, is to draw my audience into wanting to visit the places that I paint. I have this very strong belief, that, if God has taken so much efforts to create this beautiful world, it is our duty as people of this planet Earth, to at least go see, appreciate, admire and acknowledge his creation. I basically work in acrylics, as the drying time is faster, but if the need be (for getting a certain effect) I use oils. In that case I block in the colors with acrylics and complete the artwork with oils. All my artworks have the finest of details in them, as this is what I enjoy doing the most. Putting in the finer details give me a feeling of satisfaction and makes the artwork look complete. I am in the habit of keeping my final 2 days of creating an artwork, just for checking that I have created all the required and relevant details correctly. In short, I proofread my artwork, before putting on a double layer of gloss varnish to complete the process.

A fine art portrait while certainly capturing likeness as does a photo, has the ability to endure and communicate deeper emotion that is translated through the brush work and color palette. A painted portrait is also seen as a luxury and communicates importance. Digital (Portrait, Pets, Landscape, Abstract, Home Portrait, Vehicle, Still-life)

I’ve been painting as long as I can remember, since the early childhood. When I was 16, I successfully graduated from a local art school after 5 years of learning there. Then I started to practice by myself. In my work, the most important thing for me is to convey an emotion or impression that is captured on photo. It is also important to make an image realistic and highly detailed. My favourite art mediums are watercolour, digital painting and pencil.
