Landscape commissions can begin with a single image, a group of travel photographs, a property address, or an in-person visit. The artist helps decide what to keep literal and where interpretation will make the scene stronger.
Share photographs, location, season, time of day, and the memory or occasion connected to the landscape.
Compare plein air, realist, impressionistic, expressive, and contemporary work, then select the artist whose atmosphere feels closest to your idea.
Agree on orientation, horizon, focal point, color, architecture, people, and whether several references should become one composition.
Review progress as agreed, then arrange varnishing, framing, packing, and delivery for the finished painting.
