Artist invitations

MadeMay is a curated, invite-only marketplace. All artists are reviewed before their profiles go live.

Who is invited?

MadeMay is invite-only for skilled painters and sculptors working in any style or medium. Our team invites artists whose portfolios fit the current roster and category direction.

Invitation setup

Use the private invitation link from MadeMay to create your artist account. You will be asked to provide information about your craft, share portfolio images, and describe your process and experience.

What happens after you build your profile

Our curation team reviews every invited profile before it goes live. We evaluate the quality of your work, the strength of your portfolio, and your readiness to take on custom commissions. If approved, your profile is published on the platform.

Is there a cost?

Invited artists choose one final plan during onboarding: Select ($2,000 upfront + 20% per order), Signature ($5,000 upfront + 10% per order), or Patron ($0 upfront + 10% per order + one donated artwork). For the Patron plan, a MadeMay curator selects one piece from the available-artwork link supplied by the artist, and MadeMay pays documented shipping costs up to $500. Existing founding artists keep their grandfathered launch terms. Payments, messaging, and delivery coordination all happen on MadeMay — checkout is handled securely through Stripe and MadeMay's platform fee is deducted automatically.
