Setting your pricing
You have full control over your pricing on MadeMay.
Starting prices
Your profile displays a starting price, which represents the minimum cost for the simplest version of your work. Set this thoughtfully -- it helps potential clients self-select and ensures you attract inquiries that match your pricing expectations.
What to factor in
When setting prices, consider: - Materials -- The cost of raw materials for a typical project. - Time -- How many hours the work takes, from consultation through completion. - Skill and experience -- Your expertise and the uniqueness of your craft. - Overhead -- Studio costs, tools, packaging, and shipping if applicable.
Pricing per project
Since every custom project is different, you will discuss specific pricing with each client through on-platform messaging. The inquiry form asks buyers to include their budget range, which gives you a starting point for the conversation.
Collecting payment
Artists on MadeMay handle payments directly with their clients using their preferred method. MadeMay does not process or facilitate payments. You are free to use any payment method that works for you and your client, such as bank transfer, payment apps, or invoicing tools.
